The Arkansas REALTORS Association (ARA) has committed $2 million to assist those affected by the May 26 tornadoes.

Through its nonprofit, Hearts & Homes of Arkansas, the ARA will provide up to $2,000 in disaster assistance per household for housing-related expenses, including rent and mortgage payments. Since late May, Hearts & Homes has collaborated with the REALTORS Relief Foundation to allocate $1.4 million in aid.

“The Arkansas REALTORS Association is humbled to step up to help our neighbors in the wake of the recent catastrophic tornadoes,” ARA President Jennifer Welch said. “With this disaster assistance, we hope to give those impacted the financial resources and the peace of mind needed to begin the recovery process.”

Impacted households can download an application at arkansasrealtors.com and email the completed form to disaster@arkansasrealtors.com. Applications will also be available and accepted at the following locations until Wednesday, July 31, or until all allotted funds are distributed.
