NASL Members,
We are just days away from this year’s annual meeting on Mackinac Island, Michigan. In preparation, please find attached the meeting agenda, the latest approved bylaws, a membership list, and a committee roster. All these documents and more are available through the Annual Meeting Portal.
Annual Meeting Portal
This year, an online portal – powered by Sched – will serve as the information and messaging hub for our group on Mackinac Island. If you have already created a profile through the invitation link sent last month, then you may download the app or otherwise access our portal using https://nasl2023.sched.com.
If you need the invitation sent again, please contact me. Access to the portal enables you to message our group and view our documents remotely, so I strongly encourage all attendees to participate.
Important Notes for Mackinac Island
Dress Code
  • The Hotel has an Evening Attire (jacket and tie) dress code after 6:00 pm in its main areas. However, it is not necessary to follow this code to access your room or leave the hotel.
  • Earlier in the day and on the rest of the island, casual attire is acceptable.
  • The only NASL event that has a dress code is Tuesday night’s dinner (suit and tie). All other events are casual-acceptable.
Fees
  • If you plan to use the carriage taxi from the docks to the hotel, please know that an $8, cash-only fee is required.
Weather
  • Temperatures will likely range between 55-65°F, with rain possible throughout our stay.
Reminder of Special Ferry on Wednesday
We have arranged for a charter ferry to pick up members at 6:00 am on Wednesday. Then at 6:30, a shuttle will take members from the mainland docks to Pellston Regional Airport. If you would like to use either of these services and have NOT already reached out to me, please let me know as soon as possible.

NASL Annual Meeting

September 10-12

On behalf of the NASL team, we are excited to see you at the 2023 Annual Meeting from September 10-12 at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island!

Please complete your registration form here. The password is NASL2023. We’ve included the agenda for your planning purposes. Additional details about the schedule, event locations, sessions, and speakers will be available on the online portal and app. You will receive an email invitation from Sched on August 18 to create a profile. You can also download Sched in the app store.

Hotel Information

If you haven’t already, we recommend making travel arrangements as soon as possible. We have passed the room block cutoff. If you still need to book a hotel room, please contact Kaylee Gingras at (517) 372-2560 or email kaylee@mlcmi.com.

Travel Information

Mackinac Island Ferry Company and Shepler’s Ferry Company operate the ferries. You can purchase tickets ahead online or at the ticket booth. For a group rate discount, use the code NASL2023. Arrival and departure times typically run between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 pm.
